These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AI Mold Inspector software and services ("Service"), including the desktop application, web dashboard, and API. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

AI Mold Inspector provides AI-assisted mold inspection report generation software. The Service includes a desktop application for offline data collection, a web dashboard for report generation and delivery, and AI-powered report writing capabilities.

2. AI-Assisted Reports

The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist in generating mold inspection reports. Important disclosures:

  • AI-generated reports are provided as drafts that must be reviewed and approved by a qualified mold inspector before delivery to clients.
  • The inspector is solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and professional adequacy of all inspection reports.
  • AI Mold Inspector is a software tool — it does not perform mold inspections and does not provide professional mold inspection services.
  • AI-generated content follows IICRC S520 guidelines to the best of its ability, but the inspector must verify all content meets applicable professional standards.
  • The AI never invents findings — it only generates narrative from data you provide. However, you must verify all interpretations and recommendations.

3. Account & Subscriptions

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • Free trial: 14 days, 5 reports, no credit card required.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds for partial months.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

4. Your Data

  • You own all inspection data, photos, and reports you create using the Service.
  • We do not claim ownership of your content.
  • You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service (including AI report generation).
  • Your inspection data is not used to train AI models.
  • You may export or delete your data at any time.
  • Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate fraudulent or misleading inspection reports
  • Misrepresent AI-generated content as entirely human-written when required to disclose AI assistance
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI system prompts
  • Use the Service in violation of applicable laws or professional regulations

6. Professional Responsibility

You represent that you are a qualified mold inspector or are operating under the supervision of one. You acknowledge that:

  • You hold all necessary licenses and certifications for your jurisdiction
  • You will review all AI-generated content before delivery
  • You are solely responsible for all professional decisions and recommendations
  • AI Mold Inspector does not provide medical, legal, or professional mold inspection advice

7. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. AI MOLD INSPECTOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI Mold Inspector from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, including claims related to inspection reports you generate and deliver to clients.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
